The 'Oneplace' website was launched on 9 December 2009 in order to provide independent information on local issues in England. The website includes assessments of each area, of different local public services and a wide range of information on how these public services are performing. The project incorporates the work of six independent inspectorates: Audit Commission, Care Quality Commission, the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted), and Her Majesty's Inspectorates of Constabulary, Prisons, and Probation. The website is managed by the Audit Commission (appointed by the Department for Communities and Local Government).
