Captured ship: Schwerdt Fisch (master Jacob Hackaerdt).
History: a Swedish frigate (400 Swedish tuns, 16 guns, 27 men including a French doctor), bound from Bordeaux to the Leeward or Windward Islands with wine, brandy, flour and bale goods; taken on 22 August 1779 in latitude 44°30'N, longitude 2°30'W by the privateer Lightning of Liverpool (John Walker commanding), and brought first into Kinsale, and then into Liverpool.
