Description

Folio 194. Prince of Waldeck to the King from the camp at Melle. M. Haguedom has been to Marlborough now making complaints about Waldeck, from whom he would not take insult. He seeks the judgment of the King as to the consequence of Haguedom's seditious conduct, and in the interests of maintaining the respect due to His Majesty, for it to be clear that Waldeck's orders are the King's order. They had false reports from several quarters last night, which caused the Count of Nassau and other Regiments to take up arms, such that they encountered and wounded each other lightly. Waldeck still awaits the return of Erffa from the Rhine.
