Folios 44-45. Letter from Prince of Waldeck to the King from the camp near Tirlemont [Tienen]. Reports on the camp of Marshall D'Humiers and assembly of troops, enclosing details of the enemy and State armies. The Comte de Nassau had through misunderstanding marched there and taken his quarters to Hildesheim. He has been obliged to summon the Spaniards to him, their cavalry being too weak for the numerous sallies required of them. There have been delays in receiving the resources requisitioned. The Elector of Brandenburg complicates matters by wanting a much larger army and thus weakenening Prince of Waldeck by holding on to 2,000 horses of the State[s General] together with a Garde de Corps of Infantry. Discussion of an attack at Kaiserswerth, following which some troops would remain with the Elector, the rest advancing along the Meuse after destroying the fort and bridge at Bonn. Reference to events in Namur and the accident that befell M. d'Alva who suffered a great loss and has hardly any horses left.
