Folio 40. Copy of a letter from Count Flodrop to Prince of Waldeck. The Count visited Huy and found the place completely open to attack, without flanks and commanded by the mountains, so much so that they concluded to destroy the bridge over the Meuse, which is now of no use to the French. The inhabitants of the district, together with some solders, should now be able to defend the town. To defend Liege, they have occupied 3 good Chateau forts, which cannot be taken without cannons.
