A series of Board of Admiralty and subsidiary general minutes, including dispositions of HM ships, 1869 to 1895; and a series of Board minutes and memoranda from 1895.
Between January 1895 and July 1917 indexes to Board minutes are found in each annual volume; but from 23 August 1917, when a regular series of numbered minutes and subject indexes begins, the indexes were not always printed annually and are not, therefore, included in each annual volume.
No index is available for Board memoranda; but after 23 August 1917 each memorandum to the Board has a numbered cross-reference to the relative minute.
