The Living River project aimed to increase awareness and appreciation of the River Avon and its tributaries. The project ran from 2006 until 2010 with Natural England being the main partner. The project was also supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Salisbury District Council, Salisbury International Arts Festival, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, Hampshire County Council, Wessex Water and the Environment Agency.
