Part 2, Folios 135-136. A list of names headed 'dispensing power' [concerning the powers assumed by King James II to appoint officers of state without application of the Test Act] : Lord High Justice Herbert, Justice Jenner, Sir Franc [Francis] Widdinge, Holloway; Letwich; Eccls Commis [Ecclesiastical Commission], Lord Sunderland, Bishop of Durham, Lord Huntingdon; Regln ?Corptn, Lord Powis, Lord Castlemaine, Sir Nicholas Butler, Brent; Indue proceedings, Burton, Grahme [?Graham]. On reverse are listed the names: Bishop of St Davids; Father Peters [Sir Edward Petre]; Sir Ed [Edward] Hales, Sir Rogher [Roger] l'Estrange; Varhane; Mr Melfort; Mr Dover; Mr Thomas Howard; Matt [Matthew] Croon; and Morgan. The names Blair, Grai [Gray], and Mr Murray, have been struck out.
