Endorsed as Edr [Edinburgh]. Mentions James Maxwell of Kirkconnell; James Oswald; Charles Murray of Orkney and Zetland [Shetland]; the Earl of Merton; the park of Holyroodhouse; pay of reduced men; Westertoun; the 'expenses of the secretaries lodging at Whitehall' [Middlesex]; 'reparation of the King's house and Castle'; the college of Holyroodhouse; Patrick Murray and the Privy Council'; and the Duke of Hamilton's daily allowance of £50 during the sitting of parliament plus his allowance for equipage.
