A letter from the [Lord] Mayor, Aldermen and Commons of London in Common Council to his Highness [the Prince of Orange], dated at London, replying to his letter of 16 [December 1688] promising protection, delivered by Sir Robt [Robert] Howard and Mr Powle. They renew their thanks, and welcome his promise of speedy assistance. Signed by [William] Wagstaffe.
