Second Party: Edmund, his brother [Edmund of Lancaster].
Place or Subject: The king grants to Edmund and his heirs should have forever one fair every year at his manor of Pikeringe [Pickering], Yorks, to last three days, namely on the eve and on the feast-day and on the morrow of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross; and one fair every single year at his manor of Esingwald [Easingwold], to last two days, namely on the eve and on the feast-day of the Nativity of St Mary, unless those fairs are to the nuisance of neighbouring fairs. And they are to have forever free warren in all their demesne lands of Meleburne [Melbourne], Derbys, provided that those lands are not within the metes of the king's forest.
