Place or Subject: The king grants that the earl and his heirs should have one market every week on a Wednesday at their manor of Melbourn [Melbourne], Derbys, and one fair there every year to last three days, namely on the feast-day of Michaelmas and the two days next following, unless that market and fair are a nuisance to neigbouring markets and fairs.
