Place or Subject: The king grants that the earl and his heirs should have forever one market every week on a Saturday at their manor of Wayneflete [Wainfleet], Lincs, and one fair there every year to last 6 days, namely on the eve and on the feast-day of Pentecost and the four days following, unless that market and fair are to the nuisance of the neighbouring markets and fairs.
