Second Party: Patrick de Chaurc' [Chaworth].
Place or Subject: The king grants to Patrick that he and his heirs should have forever free warren in all their demesne lands of Berewik [Berwick Basset] and Langestok [Longstock], in such a way that no one is to enter those lands to hunt in them or take anything, which pertains to the warren, without licence and will of Patrick and his heirs, upon forfeiture of £10. And they are to have at their manor of Kynemereford [Kempsford] every week on a Tuesday one market and one fair every year to last for three days, namely on the eve, the feast-day and morrow of the Nativity of St Mary, unless that market and fair are to the nuisance of neighbouring markets and fairs.
