Second Party: Henry, earl of Lancaster, the king's kinsman.
Place or Subject: Having regard to the earl's service in the king's expedition of war in the duchy of Aquitaine and adjacent parts and his costs therein, the king grants to the earl the castle, vill and place of Brageriaci [Bergerac], diocese of Perigord, which the earl, lately the king's lieutenant in his duchy of Aquitaine, recently took by force, arms and by a very brave assault.
Additional people: (witnesses) William de Bohun, earl of Norhampton [Northampton]; Richard [fitz Alan], earl of Arundel, the king's kinsmen; Thomas de Bello Campo [Beauchamp], earl of Warwick; John de Veer [Vere], earl of Oxford; Robert de Ufford, earl of Suffolk; Bartholomew de Burgherssh; Richard Talbot, steward of the king's household.
