Second Party: John, earl of Richemund [Richmond], the king's son, late duke of Lancaster [John of Gaunt].
Place or Subject: The king grants to John that in the lands and tenements pertaining to his earldom within Lincolnshire, for the whole of his life, he is to have the liberties of infangenthef, outfangenthef and the cognisances of pleas of fresh force and the taking of beasts, and the full return of all the king's writs and those of his heirs, concerning his men and tenants within those lands and tenements, without trouble or impediment of the king or his heirs, his justices, escheators, sheriffs or other his bailiffs or ministers.
