Description

Folios: 410-410v. County of Yorkshire. Charters or muniments found in the castle of Pontefract, Yorks, in a box, marked by a sign. Release and quitclaim.

First party: Thomas le Despenser, earl of Gloucester.

Second Party: John, duke of Guyene and Lancaster [John of Gaunt], Henry de Lancastre, duke of Hereford and earl of Derby, and Henry, son of the said Henry.

Place or Subject: All his right and claim in all castles, honors, manors, lands, tenements, reversions, rents, services, fees and all manner of advowsons, forests, parks, chases, warrens, fairs, markets, passages, ferries, hundreds, wapentakes, cantreds, commotes, lordships and other profits, liberties, franchises and commodities with appurtenances in England and Wales.
