Description

Folio: 410. County of Yorkshire. Charters or muniments found in the castle of Pontefract, Yorks, in a box, marked by a sign. Quitclaim.

First party: John de Garenne [Warenne], earl of Surrey and Sussex.

Second Party: Thomas, earl of Lancaster.

Place or Subject: All his right and claim in all castles, lands and tenements, advowsons of churches, religious houses, franchises and knights' fees in Yorkshire without any reservation.

Additional people: (witnesses) Robert de Holande; Stephen de Segrave [Seagrave]; Gerard Salvein [Salvayn]; John de Eure; Adam de Swylinton [Swillington]; Adam de Everingham; Adam de Hudleston; John Bek; Warin de Scargil; Thomas Lovel; Griffin de la Pole; and William Trussell of Petling, knights.
