Folios: 265-266. County of Yorkshire. Pleas of the forest of Henry, earl of Lancaster, of Pikeryng [Pickering], held at Pickering before Richard de Wylughby [Willoughby], Robert de Hungerford and John de Hambury, justices itinerant on this occasion assigned to take pleas of the said forest in Yorkshire: Presentments upon the articles of the forest at Pykeryng [Pickering] before Richard de Wylughby [Willoughby], Robert de Hungerford and John Hambury, justices:

Robert le Lyttester: They present that Robert took one greenwood small oak and thorns and hazels growing in the demesnes of the lord of Pikeryng [Pickering], the price of greenwood 2d, and he was sent away by mainprise until this assize, but they do not now come, etc. Therefore to judgment about his mainpernors. And Robert is to answer to the lord for the price of the said greenwood and for the forfeiture of the same 2s.

William Godyer of Brokesay [Broxa]: They present that William has taken one greenwood oak in Legedon towards the east within the demesne, worth 6d, and he was sent away by mainprise until this assize, and they do not now come, etc. Therefore to judgement about his mainpernors. And Robert is to answer to the lord for the price of the said greenwood and for the forfeiture of the same 6s.

Robert Boulot: They present that Robert has taken one greenwood oak there within the demesne, worth 2d, and was sent away by mainprise until this assize, and they do not now come, etc. Therefore to judgement about his mainpernors. And Robert is to answer to the lord for the price of the said greenwood and for the forfeiture of the same 2s.

Thomas Ulf: They present that Thomas has taken two greenwood oaks there within the demesne, worth 6d, and was sent away by mainprise until this assize, and they do not now come, etc. Therefore to judgement about his mainpernors. And Thomas is to answer to the lord for the price of the said greenwood and for the forfeiture of the same 6s.

Thomas Cheseman of Gotheland [Goathland]: They present that Thomas has taken one greenwood oak there in Gotheland [Goathland] within the demesne, worth 2d, and was sent away by mainprise until this assize, and they do not now come, etc. Therefore to judgement about his mainpernors. And Thomas is to answer to the lord for the price of the said greenwood and for the forfeiture of the same 2s.

Roger son of Nicholas: They present that Roger has taken one greenwood oak in Gundale within the demesne, worth 3d, and was sent away by mainprise until this assize, and they do not now come, etc. Therefore to judgement about his mainpernors. And Roger is to answer to the lord for the price of the said greenwood and for the forfeiture of the same 3s.

Elias Cokerel: They present that Elias has taken there three greenwood oaks there outside the demesne. And Richard, son of John de Hoton took one dead tree there without livery of the foresters and without warrant. Therefore they are in mercy.

The abbot of Whiteby [Whitby]: They present that the abbot took one greenwood oak in Gotheland [Goathland] within the demesne, worth 3d, and he was sent away by mainprise until this assize, and they do not now come, etc. Therefore to judgement about his mainpernors. And the abbot is to answer to the lord for the price of the said greenwood and for the forfeiture of the same 3s.

Geoffrey the carpenter of Cropton: They present that Geoffrey took one greenwood oak below Cropton Castel [Cropton Castle] outside the demesne without livery of the foresters and without warrant. Therefore he is in mercy.

John del Cote of Everle [Everley]: They present that John, who has died, took one greenwood oak in the hay of Scalby within the demesne, worth 6d.

Thomas Waternes: They present that Thomas, who has died, took 6 greenwood oaks and one branch there within the demesne, worth 3d.

John, son of Robert de Scalby: They present that Robert took four sapling oaks in the hay of Scalby within the demesne, worth 2d, and he was sent away by mainprise until this assize, and they do not now come, etc. Therefore to judgement about his mainpernors.

Robert Nukkes: They present that Robert took one greenwood small oak below Croptoncastel [Cropton Castle] outside the demesne without the livery of the firester and without warrant. Therefore he is in mercy.

John de Shalfaldon: They present that six oaks were lopped in Depedalesprynges for default of the custody of John de Shalfaldon, formerly woodward of Ebreston [Ebberston]. Therefore he is in mercy.

Elred de Ellerburn: They present that Elred, who has died, has uprooted a certain greenwood oak within the demesne, worth 7d.

Hugh, vicar of the church of Ebreston [Ebberston]: They present that Hugh, who has died, took one greenwood oak outside the demesne without livery of the forester and without warrant.

John the reeve of Pikeryng [Pickering]: They present that John, who has died, took two greenwood oaks in Oskelunt within the demesne, worth 6d.

John the reeve of Pikeryng [Pickering]: They present that John, who has died, has taken in Gotheland [Goathland] four oaks within the demesne, worth 2d.

William Sharp of Aleyntoftes, forester of Aleyntoftes: They present that William, who has died, has felled a certain greenwood oak in Aleyntoftes within the demesne, worth 6d.

Roger de Scalby: They present that Roger, who has died, took a certain greenwood oak in the hay of Scalby within the demesne, worth ½d.

Juliana daughter of Lawrence: They present that Juliana, who has died, has taken one greenwood oak within the demesne, worth 0½d.

Maud Hodles: They present that Maud, who has died, has taken one greenwood oak within the demesne, worth 0½d.

Juliana Bernard: They present that Juliana, who has died, has taken one greenwood oak within the demesne, worth 0½d.

Aldusa, daughter of William Dobe: They present that Aldusa, who has died, has taken greenwood branches there within the demesne, worth 0½d.

Adam, son of Almot de Egton: They present that Adam has taken one greenwood oak in Wheledale [Welldale] within the demesne, worth 4d, and was sent away by mainprise until this assize, and they have not now come, etc. Therefore to judgement about his mainpernors.

John Gentil of Aslacby [Aislaby]: They present that John, who has died, has taken one greenwood oak in Gundale within the demesne, worth 1d.
