Folios: 263v-265. County of Yorkshire. Pleas of the forest of Henry, earl of Lancaster, of Pikeryng [Pickering], held at Pickering before Richard de Wylughby [Willoughby], Robert de Hungerford and John de Hambury, justices itinerant on this occasion assigned to take pleas of the said forest in Yorkshire: Presentments upon the articles of the forest at Pykeryng [Pickering] before Richard de Wylughby [Willoughby], Robert de Hungerford and John Hambury, justices:
Gilbert de Aton [Ayton]: The jurors present that Gilbert has appropriated his wood of Troucedale, which he claims to hold outside the regard from the wood and moor of this forest, which is within the regard at Blaklouseuese, to the number of 20 acres of moor and more, by what warrant they do not know. Therefore the sheriff is ordered to cause him to come.
William de Percy, knight: The jurors present that, whereas in the current eyre, it is allowed to foresters of the fee in le Estward [the East Ward] in their claim, that they shall have windfallen wood, namely that which can be torn off by the axe of the subforesters from the roots and no others, William de Percy, knight, one of the foresters of the fee, dug, cut off and carried away to the damage of the lord the large branches of oaks torn off by the wind in part from the roots, and certain ones that were still standing precariously and some that have fallen to the earth, which cannot be torn off by his axe from the roots, and some large roots of oaks. Therefore the sheriff is ordered to cause him to come.
Geoffrey son of Juliana: As regards trespasses of greenwood both within the demesnes and outside after the last assize in this forest, the same ministers and jurors present that Geoffrey son of Juliana, who has died, took in the hay of Pikeryng [Pickering] within the demesne one oak of greenwood, worth 2d.
Hugh son of Geoffrey: They present that Hugh son of Geoffrey, who has died, took at Pikeryng [Pickering] thorns and hazels outside the demesne without livery of the forester without warrant.
John le Fotur: They present that John, who has died, took there twigs and hazels outside the lordship without warrant.
John de Aslacby upon Tese [Aislaby]: They present that John took in the said hay within the demesne four oaks, worth 4d, and he was sent away by mainprise until that assize, and he has not come, nor has he previously handed himself over. Therefore to judgement about his mainpernors, and John is to answer to the lord about the price of the said greenwood, etc, 4s.

William, son of Hugh de Sneynton [Snainton]: They present that William, who has died, took there within the demesne one greenwood oak, worth 0½d.
William Perceval: They present that William, who has died, took there within the demesne one greenwood oak, worth 2d.
William de Dogelby [Duggleby]: They present that William, who has died, took there within the demesne one greenwood oak worth 1d.
Thomas del Hunthous: They present that Thomas, who has died, took in the hay of Pikeryng [Pickering] within the demesne 40 greenwood small oaks, worth 6s 1d.
Richard atte Uphall: They present that Richard, who has died, took there outside the demesne one greenwood oak without the livery of the forester and without warrant. Therefore he is in mercy.
Peter Valnot: They present that Peter, who has died, took small oak branches outside the demesne without livery of the forester and without warrant. Therefore he is in mercy.
Thomas Colyer: They present that Thomas, who has died, took there outside the demesne one greenwood oak without livery of the forester and without warrant. Therefore he is in mercy.
Ralph Tan of Ellerburn: They present that Ralph, who has died, took in the hay of Scalby 8 greenwood oaks within the demesne, worth 8d.

Scut of Ellerburn: They present that Scut, who has died, took there outside the demesne one greenwood oak without the livery of the forester and without warrant. Therefore he is in mercy.
Austin the reeve: They present that Austin, who has died, took there within the demesne six greenwood oaks worth 1d.
Stephen son of Alan: They present that Stephen, who has died, took there outside the lordship one greenwood oak without livery of the forester and without warrant. Therefore he is in mercy.
John Gentil: They present that John, who has died, took in Gundale within the demesne one greenwood oak, worth 1d.
William son of Haket: They present that William, who has died, took there within the demesne one greenwood oak worth 1d.
Robert de Hampton, parson of the church of Midelton [Middleton]: They present that the said Robert took three greenwood oaks on diverse occasions below Croptoncastel [Cropton Castle]. And the same parson took on a third occasion there one greenwood oak outside the demesne of the lord without livery of the foresters and without warrant. Therefore he is in mercy.
The prior of Malton: They present that the prior took greenwood of thorn and hazel in Aleyntoftes within the demesne, worth 20s, and he carried it to Scardebugh [Scarborough] for drying herrings.
