Thomas de Ebreston [Ebberston]: While he was bailiff of Hugh Bigot [Bigod], Thomas made a certain assart in the field of Cropton, in a place called Bartondale outside the lordship in the fee of lord Thomas de Wake, and it contains in itself 8 acres of land, and grows crop in the winter, the price of an acre 2s 6d, and grows crops in the summer, the price of an acre 2s.
