Description

Folios: 241-242v. County of Yorkshire. Pleas of the forest of Henry, earl of Lancaster, of Pikeryng [Pickering], held at Pickering before Richard de Wylughby [Willoughby], Robert de Hungerford and John de Hambury, justices itinerant on this occasion assigned to take pleas of the said forest in Yorkshire: Mainpernors of those indicted and convicted of trespass of hunting in this forest that they will behave well from now on and will not do wrong in the said forest.

Roger de Hull: His mainpernors are William de Percehay, knight, Edmund de Hastynges [Hastings] the younger, Thomas Bret, Nicholas Gower, Willliam de Everlay [Everley], and Robert de Howe.

Ralph de Hastynges [Hastings]: His mainpernors are William Plays, knight, William Percehay, knight, Walter Percehay, knight, William Bruys, knight, Edmund de Hastynges [Hastings], and Thomas Bret.

William de St Quinton: His mainpernors are Ralph de Hastynges [Hastings], William Plays, William de Bruys, William de Percehay, knight, John de Wykham [Wykeham], and Robert Bruys.

Thomas de Bossehale [Bossall]: His mainpernors are William de Everle [Everley], Geoffrey de Kynthorp [Kingthorpe], Ralph de Hastynges [Hastings], knight, Edmund de Hastynges [Hastings] the younger, Thomas Bret, and Adam de Haukesgarth.
