Description

Folios: 237v-239. County of Yorkshire. Pleas of the forest of Henry, earl of Lancaster, of Pikeryng [Pickering], held at Pickering before Richard de Wylughby [Willoughby], Robert de Hungerford and John de Hambury, justices itinerant on this occasion assigned to take pleas of the said forest in Yorkshire: Mainpernors of those indicted and convicted of trespass of hunting in this forest that they will behave well from now on and will not do wrong in the said forest.

Walter de Straxton: His mainpernors are William Plays, knight, John de Sherburn, John de Wykeham, Thomas Brett, Robert Plays and Geoffrey Haulay.

Alexander de Bergh, knight: His mainpernors are William de Bruys, knight, John de Pikeryng [Pickering], Walter de Trusseley, Henry de Kelk, Ralph de Morton, John Judd and William the forester.

John de Rouceby [Roxby], clerk: His mainpernors are Adam Samsone, Alan de Rouceby [Roxby], Peter de Acclom [Acklam], William Poriet, Henry de Kelk and Ralph de Morton.
