Place or subject: Whereas Henry the father granted to Henry, his son, by his deed that the castle, vill and honor of Pontefract, and also all manors, lands and tenements with knights' fees, advowsons of churches, chapels, abbeys, priories, hospitals, homages and services of freemen and villeins, chases, forests, parks, warrens, fishponds and all other appurtenances pertaining to the said castle, vill and honor in any way, after the death of Alice [de Lacy], countess of Lincoln, should remain to Henry the son, to hold for his whole life, Henry the son grants to his father all the said castle, vill and honor and all manors, lands and tenements of the said honor, with knights' fees, advowsons of churches and all appurtenances, as is aforesaid, as entirely and freely as after the death of the said countess they passed into the hands of Henry the son.
