Description

Folios: 190v-191. County of Yorkshire. Inquisition.

First party: The earl [Henry of Lancaster].

Second party: Stephen de Yedingham, chaplain.

Place or subject: The inquisition is taken to inquire whether it is to the damage or prejudice of the earl if he grants to Stephen that he can give one messuage, one toft, the site of one sheepfold, 77 acres of land, 16 acres of meadow, 5s of yearly rent and the rent of a moiety of one pound of pepper with appurtenances in Roston [Ruston] and Wykham [Wykeham] to the prioress and convent of the nuns of Wykham [Wykeham] and their successors, etc.

County: Yorkshire.

Additional people: Taken before Ralph de Hastinges [Hastings] and William de Pikering [Pickering] by [the oath of] Thomas Thornef, Roger de Alunstane, John de la Chimene, Robert Serjaunt, Geoffrey de Kynthorp [Kingthorpe], Richard de la Chaumbre, William de Fysseburn [Fishburn], William de Dales, Richard de Dalby, John de Gerstane, William le Barker and John son of Richard.

Taken at Brompton in Pikeringlyth [Pickering Lythe].
