Second party: John [John of Gaunt], earl of Richmond, the king's son.
Place or subject: Whereas John, late earl of Kent, granted to Edward III the reversion of the castle and manor of Lydele [Liddel] with the appurtenances, which Blanche holds of her inheritance, to hold to him and his heirs, by virtue of which grant Blanche is to make attornment to the king, and then the king granted the same reversion to his son John, earl of Richmond, to hold to him and his heirs male of his body begotten, Blanche makes it known that she has made attornment to the earl of Richmond, and that she will be attendant to him as she was before to the king.
