Place or subject: Thomas has atttorned and made his fealty to the earl in the presence of William de Melborne, rector of the church of Luttreworth [Lutterworth] and Richard de Rivers, knight, for £6 9s 10d of silver, which Edward III by his charter granted to the earl by Thomas's hands for the term of Thomas's life from all the lands and tenements which were of John de Middilton [Middleton], with appurtenances in la Neweland [Newlands] and Warndham [Warenton].
