Place or subject: The jurors say on their oath that, on Friday in the week of Easter 39 Hen III, there came Richard Morin at Stanford [Stamford] in the presence of Hereward de Marisco and Lady Rametta, and with their consent and assent seized into the hands of the earl of Leicester the whole barony of Emeledon [Embleton] with appurtenances, together with the manor of Fenton and all lands which were of Lady Rametta, in the presence of the whole court of Stanford [Stamford], and appointed William, his clerk, on behalf of the earl to keep the said barony there, saying that Lady Rametta should go to Hyrebotle [Harbottle] and stay there until the earl makes provision of other land to her.
