Folios: 133v-134. County of Lancaster. Copies of charters by which diverse liberties are claimed in this eyre: Grant.
First party: John, count of Mortaine.
Second party: All knights, thanes and freeholders, who live in his forest of the honor of Lancaster.
Place or subject: John grants that they can assart, sell and give their own groves and settle in them at their will, just as in their fee, and can do their will without any challenge of John or his heirs or his bailiffs. He also grants to them the quittance of the reward of the said forest. He also grants their dogs and the hunting of hares and foxes and all other beasts except for stags, does, wild boars, wild sows and roebucks throughout his whole forest outside his demesne hays.
