Description

Folios: 87v-88. County of Lancaster. Indenture.

First party: William de Walton.

Second party: William, son of Robert de Radeclif [Radcliffe].

Place or subject: Whereas the said William de Walton is held to the said William, son of Robert de Radeclif [Radcliffe], in £1,000 of silver by a recognisance made before the king's justices in the common bench on Saturday next after the feast of St Edmund the King 12 Edw III, to be paid at the feast of Pentecost next following, the said William, son of Robert, grants for his heirs and executors that, if the said William de Walton does not demise the manor of Walton [Ulnes Walton] or any parcel thereof to Robert de Wetenale, Maud, his wife, John Blount and Agnes, his wife, which women are daughters of the said William de Walton, for the term of life or in fee, then no possession is to be had. [Further details given].
