Description

Folios: 74-75. County of Lancaster. Grant.

First party: Henry [Henry of Grosmont], duke of Lancaster, earl of Derby, Lincoln and Leicester, and steward of England.

Second party: The abbot and convent of Whalleye [Whalley].

Place or subject: Two cottages, seven acres of land, 193 acres of pasture, 200 acres of wood, with the appurtenances called Rommesgrene in the chase of Blakeburne [Blackburn]. Also licence for the duke to grant two messuages, 126 acres of land, 26 acres of meadow and 130 acres of pasture with the appurtenances called Standen, Hulcroft and Grenelache in the vills of Penhulton [Pendleton] and Cliderhou [Clitheroe] together with the fold of Standen and the foldage of the same fold with all profits, which William de Yves holds for his life from the lease and grant of the said duke, and which after the death of the said William is to revert to the said duke and his heirs, and are now to remain after the death of the said William to the said abbot and convent and their successors.
