Description

Folio: 73v. County of Lancaster. Quitclaim.

First party: Hugh, abbot of Kirkestall [Kirkstall] of the Cistercian Order, York diocese.

Second party: Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln and constable of Chester.

Place or subject: The lands, tenements and rents which the abbot and convent hold from the said earl and his ancestors in Acrington [Accrington], Cliveacher [Cliviger] and Hunescot [Huncoat], Lancs, and in la Roundehaye [Roundhay], Secroft [Seacroft] and Shadewell [Shadwell], Yorks. and £4 a year which they were accustomed to receive from the very small alms of the said earl from his Exchequer of Pontefract.

County: Lancashire. Yorkshire.

Additional people: (witnesses) R. [Robert Burnel], bishop of Bath and Wells. W. [William Middleton], bishop of Norwich. lords John de Vescy. Otto de Grandison. John de St John. William le Latymer [Latimer]. John de Bohun.
