First party: Henry, earl of Lancaster and Leicester, steward of England.
Second party: The abbot and convent of Fourneys [Furness].
Place or subject: Whereas the said Henry has lately demised to the abbot and convent of Fourneys [Furness] the tourn of the sheriff with appurtenances in Furness, and he granted that the said abbot and convent and their successors by the ministers of the said abbot and convent could hold the sheriff's tourn forever. and afterwards the said abbot and convent had exacted fines for the trespass of bloodshed as pertaining to the said tourn, which from time out of mind are accustomed to be presented in the county of Lancaster, the earl, of his special grace, grants to the said abbot and convent that they and their successors are to have during the whole life of the same earl the fines of the trespass of bloodshed within Furness, notwithstanding that these kinds of trespasses previously used to be presented in the county of Lancaster and the fines issuing pertain to the said earl.
