Place or subject: Whereas Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln, has granted the church of Quallay [Whalley] to the said abbot and convent and their successors to hold forever, although certain former rectors of the said church claimed to have the right of driving and taking wild beasts within the forests of the said earl as of the right of the said church of Quallay [Whalley], the abbot and convent have quitclaimed all their right which they had or could have of driving or taking wild beasts within the forests of the said earl of his heirs or within any place which pertains to the forest or to free chase.
