Description

Folio: 60. County of Lancaster. Grant.

First party: Gregory, abbot of Stanlowe [Stanlow] and the convent of the same place.

Second party: Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln.

Place or subject: Whereas Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln, has granted the church of Quallay [Whalley] to the said abbot and convent and their heirs or assigns forever, although the chapel within the castle of Cliderhou [Clitheroe] is situated within the limits of the said parish church of Quallay [Whalley], the abbot and convent grant that the same earl and his heirs or assigns may have and hold the same chapel forever with all rights, property and possessions which pertain to the said chapel.
