Description

Folio: 32v. Wales. Grant.

First party: Payn de Cadurcis [Chaworth], son and heir of Hawise de London.

Second party: God and the blessed Mary and the monks of Alba Domus [Whitland] of the Cistercian Order, St Davids diocese.

Place or subject: 19 acres of arable land and 13 perches, namely 17½ acres which lie between the land of John Malefaunt on the one side, and the road which leads from the ferry on the other side, in width, and extending in length from the dry spring to the sand of the sea. And 1½ acres and 13 perches which lie between the land which is called Bothmyley on the one side and the way which leads from the ferry on the other, in width, and extending in length from the land which is called Langeleye to the land which is called Bothmeleye. Also three acres of meadow and a fifth part of one acre, lying between the land which is called Reyloc in width and the old ditch made at the time of William de London, and extending in length from the land which is called Langeleye to the land of Eveas Abtuder.

County: [Carmarthenshire].
