Description

Folios: 21v-22. Wales. Quitclaim.

First party: William, abbot of Dore, and the convent of the same place.

Second party: Edmund, son of Henry III.

Place or subject: 12d of yearly rent, which William the chaplain used to pay to the said abbot and convent for 12 acres of land, which he held of them in the vill of Grosmount [Grosmont]. And 12d of yearly rent which Andrew son of William used to pay to them for six acres of land, which he held of them in the same vill. And 20d which John Andreu [Andrew] paid yearly to them for 10 acres of land which he held of them in the same vill. And 12d which Stephen Hubert paid yearly to them for nine acres of land which he held in the same vill. And 12d of yearly rent which Robert de Keyrlyon paid yearly for 9 acres which he held in the same vill. And 18d which David Wallensis paid yearly for 9 acres of land, which he held in the same vill. And 2s which Annora, daughter of Simon paid yearly for 12 acres of land which she held in the same bill. And 12d of yearly rent which Juliana, daughter of Simon paid yearly for one toft and two and a half acres of land which she held in the same vill. And 2s, which Yorfrich Gouth paid yearly for 5½ acres which he held of them in the bailiwick of Album Castrum [White Castle]. And 12d which Woyrvel, relict of Wronou paid yearly for one messuage and one croft which she held in the said bailiwick. And 2s of yearly rent, which William son of Kueytho used to pay for half a bovate of land which he held in the same bailiwick.
