First party: Robert le Brut of Duxton [Dixton].
Place or subject: The said Robert, on the day on which he died, held of the lord of Mon' [Monmouth] in Duxton [Dixton] one messuage with a garden and curtilage adjacent, one dovecote, 100 acres of arable land, two acres of meadow, three acres of wood, a moiety of one watermill and 42s 3d of yearly rent by the homage and service of one half of a knight's fee and suit at the court of the lord every three weeks.
County: [Monmouthshire].
Additional people: William le Brut is his son and next heir and is aged 23 years and more. Taken at Mon' [Monmouth] before John Serjaunt by the oath of Thomas de Honteleye [Hunteley], William Greyndor, William Clement, Howell Marcell, David ap Griff [Dafydd ap Gruffudd], William de Garth, Nicholas Ely, Henry de Mareys [Marisco], Roger le Deyare, John Warde, Elias le Taillour [Tailor] and Stephen Macy.
