Description

Folios: 12-13. Charters and confirmations. Inspeximus of various charters.

First party: Edward I.

Second party: Edmund, the king's brother.

Place or subject. Charters 1 to 3: Houses, garden, places and rents, which Queen Eleanor [Eleanor of Provence] had from her purchase from the provost and chapter of the house of Mons Jovis [Montjoux], and which were formerly of her uncle Peter, count of Savoy, outside the city of London in the parish of the Holy Innocents of Album Monasterium [St Mary le Strand]. Charters 4 and 5: One plot of land which lies between the plot of the said Edmund, which was formerly of Peter de Savoy, and the plot of Robert le Cuper in the neighbourhood of Westminster next to the church which is called Wytechurche.
