Part 2, Folios 130-131. Letter from the Earl of Shrewsbury [Charles Talbot] to the Prince of Orange assuring him that though he hopes the Prince has a great many servants and friends in England there is not one that is more entirely and faithfully than he is and he writes this not as a compliment but the truth of his heart. Shrewsbury says 'the great and only consolation we have left is that you are so generous to countenance us in our misfortunes, for at the same time we know you approve we are sure we are in the right'.
