Part 2, Folios 92-93. Letter dated at London from [Lord Halifax] to the Prince of Orange thanking him for the favour shown to his son; commenting on the decision to prorogue Parliament; and pointing out that the state of current affairs is not only varied but also contradictory, there appearing to be the utmost vigour to pursue the long-laid design on one side but there seeming to be no less firmness in the nation and aversion to change. It is believed that 'the prevailing party', being discouraged because so few have been converted to their view, will move faster 'and if so every day will give more light to what is intended, though it is already no more a mystery'.
