Letter dated at Whitehall from [Charles] Earl of Middleton to the Prince of Orange expressing his great pleasure that the differences between the Prince and the late King have been resolved by the accession of the new King. Middleton takes the opportunity of offering his services and assuring the Prince 'that it shall be the study of my life' to obtain his favour and protection.
