Part 1, Folio 94. Letter dated at London from the Earl of Pembroke to the Prince of Orange. 'Though there is no further thoughts of my serving your Highness in time of peace, I hope you will give me leave to wait on you whenever there may be thoughts of action. All the talk here is that the King of France aims at Maestricht and that you will be in the field with a very considerable force. I shall omit no such opportunity by which I may show myself your Highness's most humble and obedient servant'.
