Description

Part 1, Folios 75-76. Folio 75. Account of the defeat by the Duke of Lorraine of the son of the Cham of Tartary and two Pashas, one the Pasha of Erlau with more than 12,000 Tartars, brought the evening of 17-27 August by the Adjutant-General of the Duke. Folio 76. Letter dated at Linz. [Austria] from the Prince of Waldeck to the Prince of Orange. Enclosed is what has happened between the Duke of Lorraine and the Turks. The conduct of England is detestable in wishing Luxemburg to be surrendered. Let God bless our actions here, then the language of the French will be changed. I leave to-morrow to speak with the King of Poland, who will be at Krems on Wednesday.
