Letter dated at Whitehall from J [Joseph] Williamson [Secretary of State] to the Prince of Orange; 'I am commanded by the King to give cover to the enclosed from him to your Highness upon the oversights committed in the late treaty signed by Sir W [William] Temple at the Hague, as like wise to enclose a copy of what I writ [sic] upon this occasion to him by the last post, that you may be informed in what particulars his Majesty takes exception, which Sir W Temple was also commanded by his Majesty's order to represent on his part to you for the greater security, in case any accident should befall this packet'. Folios 44-47. Letter from Secretary Williamson to Ambassador Sir William Temple.
