Part 1, Folios 204-204. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange that he does not share the Prince's view as to what the States have done. The Duke thinks they had no choice but to agree to the French proposal as it was the only means of peace which he is sure is the true interest of Holland as well as England and that the Spaniards ought to be wise too since it means that Flanders is saved. The rest of the letter is domestic news.
