Part 1, Folios 196-197. Letter dated at Windsor from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange. The Duke is going to London where one of the conspirators [James] Holloway is to be tried 'though', as the Duke comments, 'he might have been hanged without that ceremony having been taken and already outlawed but this way is chosen to make more public what he has confessed of that damnable conspiracy'. The Duke is glad that the Spaniards are beginning to pay attention to the French proposal of a truce and wishes that all their allies may be of the same mind.
