Part 1, Folios 184-185. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange. Everything is going very well and quietly and the King's authority daily increases. The Duke could wish with all his heart that the French proposals of a twenty year truce would be listened to in Holland, being persauded that would be much better for all Christendom than a war.
