Part 1, Folios 182-183. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange. The frost has broken and the wind favourable to carry the letters from Harwich to Holland so the Duke hopes to hear soon from the Prince and maybe sooner from France. The Duke's news is that Lord Danby has appeared before the King's Bench to ask for bail about which nothing was done as although the Chief Justice was clear it could not be refused, the two youngest judges wanted more time to consider. Mr Hamden [John Hampden] is to be tried only for misdemeanour and not treason as there is only one positive witness against him.
