Part 1, Folios 170-171. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange that although the Prince will hear the news from others 'tis too considerable a one' for the Duke not to write of it namely that the Duke of Monmouth delivered himself up to the Secretary and requested that he might speak with the King and the Duke alone to which the King agreed. The Duke gives an account of what was said and the King's actions thereafter. Algernon Sidney's sentence of beheading is referred to.
